Ryan Moilliet

Ryan W.K. Moilliet has fostered a love of singing since the age of six, beginning under the baton of Jean Ashworth Bartle of the Toronto Children’s Chorus. While pursuing his BA with Honours in Theatre Studies at York University, Ryan sang with Dr. Lisette Canton in the York University Chamber Choir and with the touring York University Singers.

Ryan has performed with the Etobicoke Centennial Choir, Nathaniel Dett Chorale, Ontario Male Chorus, and made his opera debut in the Glenn Gould School’s 2015 production of Offenbach’s La belle Hélène. He has also performed with Voicebox: Opera in Concert, and Toronto Operetta Theatre’s 2015 production of Sigmund Romberg’s, The Student Prince. Ryan continues to sing with Edward Connell at Saint Timothy’s Anglican Church and has been a member of Orpheus Choir since 2012; he is celebrating his second season as a Sidgwick Scholar. His primary studies are with Dr. Robert Loewen, whom he sincerely thanks for all the time and energy invested in his singing career. Ryan also thanks Ted Moroney for his consistent encouragement.
