Lutzen Riedstra











Lutzen is in the midst of an undergraduate degree in performance at the University of Toronto, currently studying with Lorna Macdonald. Most recently he was featured as one of the Stratford Six in the closing concert of Stratford Summer Music’s 15th season. In July, he made his premiere performance as Giove in the Center for Opera Studies in Italy’s production of La Calisto by Francesco Cavalli. Last February, he was the bass soloist for Chorus Niagara’s performance of Mozart’s Requiem. One of the highlights of his career so far was the chance he had to perform in a concert with renowned mezzo-soprano Stephanie Blythe. He has been the bass section lead and soloist at Kingsway-Lambton United Church in Etobicoke, and Trinity-St. Paul’s, Toronto. This is his second year as a Sidgwick Scholar.
