Meghan Fleet

Meghan Fleet, Soprano, graduated from the University of Toronto, Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance, and then went on to receive her Artist Diploma in Voice from the Glenn Gould School at the Royal Conservatory of Toronto. Most recently, Meghan has performed Handel’s Messiah as well as the role of Achsah in Handel’s Joshua with the Orpheus Choir and Chorus Niagara. At Stratford Summer Music Festival, she performed the role of Ophelia in a new opera of Hamlet by Canadian Mark Richards.

Other recent roles include Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, Papagena in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Madame Herz in Mozart’s Der Schauspieldirektor, Ninetta in Offenbach’s La Perichole, Titania in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Nora in Riders to the Sea by Vaughn Williams. Meghan also played the role of Jenny Lind in the Canadian premiere of The Nightingale. In addition to her role as a Sidgwick Scholar this season, Meghan will also perform as a member of the COC Chorus.
