Leigh-Anne Martin

Leigh-Anne Martin, Mezzo-soprano, is currently studying at The Glenn Gould School with Jean MacPhail in the Artist Diploma Program. She recently graduated from York University’s Faculty of Fine Arts with an honours degree in music under the direction of Catherine Robbin. A prize-winner in numerous music festivals and National Association of Teachers of Singing Auditions, Leigh-Anne was also the recipient of several scholarships and bursaries during her undergraduate studies at York.

She most recently performed as a soloist in a series of concerts put on by the Toronto Male Welsh Voice Choir in Barrie and Kingston. Leigh-Anne performed in A Night at the Opera, a benefit concert for Talk is Free Theatre in Barrie in 2008. Leigh-Anne was thrilled to perform the solos in her first Messiah in 2008, and has also performed as soloist in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Vivaldi’s Gloria, and Bach’s Cantata Wachet Auf.
